Advanced Post Processing & Workflow Course Announced | July 18, 2012

We’re excited to introduce our first ever “Advanced Post Processing & Workflow Course” at the studio July 18, 2012 from 10a.m-4p.m
We’ll start the morning lighting and photographing a model, and then get right into post production, and workflow for the remainder of the day.

This course will require Adobe Photoshop CS5 (or equivalent) and Adobe Lightroom 4(or 3) as well as Camera RAW.
You must have a computer with software(Trial Versions O.K) pre-loaded and ready for the course.

The course will cover advanced editing techniques in both Photoshop, and Lightroom, as well as an overall look at post workflow when dealing with a large selection of images such as a wedding, family, or fashion shoot.

We will focus on advanced techniques such as skin re-touching, sharpening, softening, cloning, patch tool, and bulk workflow.

The course cost is $250+hst We are also offering a $50 discount when signing up for both the Intro and Advanced courses.

Intro to Post Processing Course Announced – July 11, 2012

We’re very excited to announce our inaugural “Intro to Post Processing” course which will take place at the studio July 11, 2012 from 10a.m-4p.m.
You’ll need your camera, and a computer with a minimum requirement of Adobe Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Camera RAW. We recommend Adobe Photoshop CS5(or equivalent) for which a 30 day trial version can be downloaded from Adobe’s website.

The course will be taught by Brent and Gerald Mabee, and will cover all things photoshop from file management to colour correction to maximize your photography abilities, and get your images print ready.

The cost of the course is $199+hst We are also offering a $50 discount when signing up for both the Intro and Advanced courses(July 11, and 18, 2012).

Our intro to photography course is designed for people with SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras interested in learning to take their camera off the “auto” mode, and enter the “real” world of photography. You’ll learn the basics of apertures, shutters, white balances, and composition to improve your photography, and get you comfortable with the camera.

The cost is 199 dollars +HST for the day, and the course will run from 10 a.m-4p.m Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the studio in Wallaceburg.

COURSE FULL – Boudoir Workshop and Lighting Course – April 22nd, 2012 -Retro Suites

I’m excited to announce our first boudoir workshop and lighting course in association the Retro Suites in Chatham, Ontario Sunday, April 22, 2012.
We’ll spend 4 hours with 8 students covering everything from shot techniques and off camera lighting to picking the right angle and lens for your subject, and making them feel comfortable in front of the camera.
A professional make-up artist will be on site, and each student will be given ample time to work with both models in various settings throughout the suite.
The course will run from 12-4 in the amazing Presidential Suite at the hotel. Check out some of the other suites in this incredible hotel if you haven’t seen them HERE
The workshop cost is 250 per student+hst
